Navarra Hospital was built at the beginning of the century, with a pabellonal structure, which has suffered constant remodeling to suit the different needs for care, to provide a “deteriorating” and added image of twinned bodies of different styles without structuring clear pattern, and therefore seriously organizational, compositional, and functional shortcomings.
Conceptually, with the new proposal the old debates about what’s new and old.
Challenges: Flexibility, Organizational clarity, composition Structuring. Introduction of light: as an agent of integration.
More than an “add” the building as a large “perforated box”: a case seen as a new and old packaging, which between them have cracks-cracks that allow the passage of light.
